Great concept, great lightning and better scenery. But the best, the shot!

Congratulations :)

I would love to know what you used to light this image, it's quite wonderful.

the harsh light on reality hurts my eyes

I'm going to have to disagree, for once, on the lighting... it seems off for this photo, if you were trying to go for a sullen/ lonely/ scared type of look... the lighting seems a touch too harsh, a touch too bright. But never mind me :P I've never gotten lighting right... lol.

Gracias, hombre. It was a fun shoot (pero muy frio, eh?)

Thank you for the high compliment. It's embarrassingly simple. I used a Canon 580EX II with a shoot-through umbrella on a lightstand about 15 feet up. Used Pocket Wizards.

:shakefist: How dare you! :shakefist:

Nah, disagreement is always welcome. I was delighted with the light--it was cooler even than I had hoped. But I agree that there would be ways to light it more frightingly (?!). I was kind of aiming for a surrealist sort of theatrical look . . . . like she's Waiting for Godot. But yeah, it is broad light, no doubt.

Well you did get the theatrical look down, but that was more with the scenery and props, more than the lighting. :D
